Electrical Noise PSU List

As with most electrical components that have some kind of transformer or toroid/inductor/coil/choke, it is common for PSUs to produce some kind of electrical "hum", be it inaudible in the midst of fan noise or unbearable when very low-frequency, for instance.
This topic will be a repository for good and bad PSUs, based on experiences from ourselves and the community, so please contribute.

List of known good PSUs:
    Enermax Liberty 500W
Good up to ~250w, not loaded further. PSU's fan has sub-par bearings. (Evrsr)
    LC-Power Super Silent V1 550W
Good up to ~250w, not loaded further. PSU's fan has good bearings but is not "super silent". (Evrsr)
    Silverstone ST45NF 450W Noiseless
      No noticeable noise whatsoever (TNN500)

My Silverstone ST45NF experience

After the Silverstone ST40NF disappointment, I'm pleased to report that my Silverstone ST45NF makes absolutely no noticeable electrical noise.

Note that the ST40NF is made by FSP and the ST45NF by Etasis. So I guess they are completely different PSUs.

The ST45NF has two bright LEDs that bother me. So I opened it up and unplugged them from their sockets, not hard to do, but you will void your warranty.

I'm happy with it so far but have only had it for a few days. I'll report back if the situation changes.

Glad to hear about it, the change of manufacturer seems to have been the deciding factor. Etasis does claim that they only produce high quality industrial grade components.
Gone is the Antec?
It would be nice if they would add a switch for the LEDs.
Will update the list.

Want to know what is bothering me right now? LCD electrical noise, these "new" LG LCDs have a not so good transformer that makes some noise, although fortunately not of the extremely high pitched variety but still not quiet either.

I also had a noise problem with my Benq monitor. I had to tweak the monitor's brightness/contrast settings to minimise the noise, it disappears at around 100% brightness. It doesn't seem to make any noise at the moment, not sure why, although I have read cases where the backlighting noise diminishes with time or maybe my hearing isn't what it used to be. A possible workaround for this noise problem is to set the brightness high enough so that the noise disappears and use the graphics card settings to reduce the brightness/contrast to a comfortable level.

I still have it, don't know what to do with it yet, maybe I'll keep it as a backup.

Never thought of that, it also worked for me. Thanks! It seems to vary, with lower brightness settings also providing a lower noise.
I had previously just adjusted brightness just to help reduce backlight flickering.
